That doesn't show anything because Jennings quickly goes offscreen. That's why I'll wait for the All 22 but it looked like Jennings had decent depth on the corner.
You can wait, but it's pretty easy to see that the coverage dropped back and was giving up whatever underneath. He had PTJ on the check down

And this is why we wait for the full view and not listen to some guy named Chase.

It was a routine pass and catch, Oline is trash.

At that point they were on their 3rd string LT and backup LG, correct?

What did you wait for exactly? Someone to explain what happened, we already know that.

the issue is he didn't need to do that. He needs stop locking onto one guy and take what the defense gives you.

two games in a row he was going to Jennings no matter what

Baker mayfield can actually lead a 2 min offense. Purdy can't.
Purdy should not get paid near what baker gets paid. Personally I hope they the 49ers tell Purdy to go ahead and hold out. We can find a reclamation product. Look at all the QB's who were thought to be washed up crushing it right now. We supposedly have thee football genius coach. Let him coach up a supposedly washed up QB. It'll be much cheaper for the franchise and we can address the offensive line.

Hopefully the media will keep asking Kyle why we never practice hurry up and 2 minute offense in the offseason. That needs to change

There was a wide open hole in the defense, a receiver moving towards it, if the OL doesn't allow a free rusher right up the middle, that's an easy completion. He was taking what the defense gave him, the problem is that the OL didn't do their part, no different than if a receiver drops a pass or if the QB overthrows a wide open receiver.

The argument that you preemptively go to the check down before exhausting the big play opportunity is so asinine it's impossible to take you seriously. If your QB defaults automatically to the check down then you need a new QB ASAP.

It wasn't on either of those guys, it was Brendel failing to picking up a widely telegraphed stunt, standing there and watching Campbell after we he blew by.

Purdy needs to take back that brand new 1996 Toyota Corolla he bought him.
This loss wasn't on Purdy or Kyle. It wasn't on Deebo either. It was just a microcosim of the entire season. Lining up offside on defense and offense. Illegal motion. Silly penaties that shouldn't happen constantly.

Some of it is because so many backups are playing stating rolls and they don't have the reps to not commit these errors. Some of it may be due to not getting coached up enough in practice. No question having 2nd and 3rd string O linemen is a huge issue. We're all down on this team right now but we need to see how they bounce back next season. Many good teams have an off year and this certainly was that. I've never seen so many key players injured. They don't look anything like the team we were expecting before the season started.

They'll be drafting in a good spot this year and hopefully they'll be able to land 3 or 4 players that can actually help. We can hope that the injred guys come bck to form next season but we can't be sure. CMC and Aiyuk are going to be big question marks.

Agreed, I would assume there was pressures coming from the left side more once those guys left?

I don't blame Brock for that INT. Not sure what folks are expecting at this pt in the season?

More injuries. What else can we expect the way this season has gone.

The bounce back days are past us. This team is dropping like a stone. How do you not blame the coach for mental mistakes? And Brock gets a pass for throwing the int…? How? Because the o line failed him? Please. He should not have thrown the ball and Kyle should've stopped calling longer developing plays. The blame goes to the entire team. Unprepared and undisciplined.

asinine? maybe if this was an anomaly. but this s**t has been happening multiple times per game this year. not throwing to the open guy. It's why we have no rhythm, can't convert and YAC has completely gone away. I can't say that about the last two years because he took what the defense gave him. That was him playing great ball.

What you ignored is that he was locked onto jennings the entire time. You want to blame OL sure, what happened to the Purdy who had the awareness and would always scramble to the left side.. or just the awareness that your OL is not holding up and just take the quick hitter for YAC

I think you need to take your emotions out of this if think you don't need to check down on a game winning drive

It would be nice if he had the arm strength to scramble backwards like most of the QB's in this league are that can then buy time to fit a ball into a window flat footed. Unfortunately Brocks Noodle needs him to step into his passes even those just going 10-15 yards down field. Oline is going to be make or break with him and if Kyle continues to ignore it will become a recipe for disaster.
